Hey guys, so you're probably wondering why we've bothered getting a new forum. The short answer is our favourite topic: Administration! Having a forum will help us keep you all up to date without having to worry about messaging everyone with the same information. We can instead just put the information on the forums and you guys can see it whenever. We can also use it to help with attendance. We're going to steal an idea from the 6th Airborne Division (Some of us play ARMA with them and you can see their website Here). After every event, we'll put up a forum post for the next day's event where you guys can post whether or not you're going to attend up to 30 minutes before the event starts. This will help us to give event organisers accurate numbers when we sign up, as well as allowing us to start keeping track of who is and who isn't attending our events for promotion and medal purposes.
This also allows us to free up a couple of Teamspeak channels. Things like the medal and battle list channels can be removed (The contents are cool but it's a super cluttered way of doing things) and we can start keeping track properly on here. We're going to start formalising the regiment. My end goal is that whoever is leading events will write up a mini-report on the battles that you guys can all read later, and that medals etc will all start being awarded to people that deserve them, as well as being presented in a way that is more fitting.
I ask that you don't edit your forum names. We'll change them when you rank up/down. I'm also going to start putting a little medal section in people's signatures, so when they're there, please don't mess with them. If you check the other parts of the forum that you can access, you'll see more in depth posts about what's happening and what is expected of you and what you can expect from us.
