Authorised Absence Request

Attention to all,

If you're going away for more than one week or you require time away for the unit for various personal, social, educational or work related issues, but still intend on coming back, we can put you on Authorised Absence & Reserves (AA&R).

To qualify for Authorised Absence & Reserves, you must have been active in the 6th for at least 3 months. Also be advised, there will be monthly checks on your AA&R status and the maximum stay in AA&R is capped at 3 months and the minimum 1 week. Any time past that you shall be removed and you shall need to reapply. Depending on your rank when you enter AA&R, you may be required to re-sit your position within your section.

Please note that if you meet the requirements and do wish to go on AA&R, you are also required to inform your section of your departure so they can prepare, this is especially so if you hold a position such as Corporal or Lance Corporal.
